The Balanced Man Award
BMA logo The Balanced Man Award is awarded annually by Sigma Phi Epsilon. It is to honor the achievements of male freshmen on our campus. Three finalists are chosen whom we believe exhibit the ideals of a Balanced Man, with a Sound Mind and a Sound Body. The finalists are awarded scholarships of $1000, $500, and $250. The award is in no way contingent to the joining of Sigma Phi Epsilon, or any other organization.

2006 Award
The 2006 award had over 60 applicants of the brightest and most well rounded new Columbians. Our committee worked hard to determine the most Balanced Man of the group. Culminating in a ceremony, where Columbia and SigEp alumnus Greg Lembrich gave a speech, the awards were given to the following men:

  • 1st ($1000) - Ajay Menghal
  • 2nd ($500) - Michael Topol
